The first session is primarily about getting to know each other. I'll ask about what's brought you to counselling, a little about your background, and what you're hoping to get from our work together. There's no pressure to share anything you're not ready for — we go at your pace. It's also a chance for you to ask me any questions and decide if I feel like the right fit for you.
If you're struggling with something — whether it feels big or small — counselling can help. You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from talking with someone. Many people come to counselling simply because they want to understand themselves better, work through a transition, or build resilience. If you're unsure, feel free to reach out and we can have a brief conversation before you commit to anything.
No referral is needed to see me. You can book directly through my online booking system via Zanda. If you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, please get in touch to discuss whether this applies to our sessions. If you're a WAAPA or AUSDANCE WA member, you may be eligible for subsidised sessions — please ask when you book.
You can book directly through my online booking system — just click the 'Book Now' button anywhere on this website. You can also contact me by phone on 0409 625 277 or by email at [email protected] if you'd prefer to chat first. When booking, let me know if you're a WAAPA or AUSDANCE WA member so I can apply your 10% discount.
Standard sessions are 50 minutes. This is the typical length for individual counselling and gives us enough time to go deep without feeling rushed.
This depends on what you're working through and what works for your life. Many clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum, then move to fortnightly as things settle. We'll discuss what feels right for you as we go.
Yes — I offer telehealth sessions via a secure video platform. Online sessions are just as effective as in-person for most people, and they're a great option if you have a busy schedule, live regionally, or simply prefer the comfort of your own space.
Yes. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of counselling. Everything you share with me stays between us, with a few legal exceptions: if I believe you or someone else is at serious risk of harm, or if I'm required by law to disclose information. I'll explain these limits clearly in our first session.
Trauma-informed practice means I understand that many of the challenges people face — including anxiety, disordered eating, perfectionism, and relationship difficulties — can be rooted in past experiences of trauma. It means I prioritise your safety, work at your pace, and never push you to go somewhere you're not ready to go. It also means I recognise the strength and resilience you've developed, not just the pain.
Person-centred counselling is based on the belief that you are the expert on your own life. My role is not to give you advice or tell you what to do — it's to listen deeply, reflect honestly, and create the conditions in which you can find your own answers. I bring warmth, genuine curiosity, and unconditional positive regard to every session.
My specialisation is in sports and dance counselling, and this is where my deepest expertise and lived experience lies. However, I work with anyone who feels drawn to my approach — you don't need to be a professional athlete or dancer to benefit from what I offer.
Yes — I work with clients of all ages, including children and adolescents. If you're a parent or guardian enquiring on behalf of a young person, please get in touch and we can discuss how best to support them.
Initial sessions are $130 for 75 minutes. Ongoing sessions are $120 for 55 minutes. I also offer a 10% discount for WAAPA (Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts) and AUSDANCE WA members. Please contact me if you'd like to discuss payment options or have any questions about fees.
I ask for at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. This allows me to offer the time to another client. Late cancellations may incur a fee — I'll explain this clearly when you book.
I use Zanda for all online bookings. It's a secure, easy-to-use platform where you can see available times, book your session, and manage your appointments. You can access it via the 'Book Now' button on this website.
I'm happy to chat before you commit to anything. Reach out by phone or email and we can talk it through.
