Meg Honey Parry
MA · Level 2 ACA Registered Counsellor
Before becoming a counsellor, I was a professional ballet dancer — performing with the West Australian Ballet and Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal. Dance was not just what I did; it was who I was. My identity, my community, my purpose, and my daily life were all woven through movement.
"I know what it means to pour everything into a discipline — and I know what it takes to find yourself again when that changes."
That lived experience is at the heart of everything I do as a counsellor. I understand the culture of sport and dance from the inside — the perfectionism, the body scrutiny, the pressure to perform, the fear of injury, and the profound loss that can come with retirement or career transition.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling and am registered at Level 2 with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). I work from a trauma-informed and person-centred lens, which means I meet each client where they are — with no judgement, no agenda, and genuine curiosity about their unique experience.
My practice is called On Pointe because being "on pointe" is about more than technical precision — it's about being fully present, grounded, and aligned. That's what I hope to support in every person I work with.
Areas of Specialisation
I work from a trauma-informed foundation — recognising that many of the struggles athletes and dancers face are rooted in experiences that have shaped how they see themselves and the world. This approach prioritises safety, trust, and choice at every step.
My person-centred practice means you are the expert on your own life. I don't have a script or a predetermined path for you. I listen deeply, reflect honestly, and walk alongside you as you find your own way forward.
Sessions are available online and in person, and I work with clients of all ages — from young athletes and dancers to adults navigating major life transitions.

I'd love to hear from you. Book a session online or reach out with any questions.
